President Donald Trump has reinstating back-to-back campaign rallies in Kansas and Iowa on Sunday less than 24 hours after canceling them, according to the Associated Press.

The sudden reversal comes after the Trump scrapped appearances in both states on Thursday, raising concerns about his campaign strategy as Republicans fight to maintain control of Congress.

Trump had originally been scheduled to campaign Saturday in Salina, Kansas, where Republican Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KY) faces a highly competitive reelection battle against Democrat Adam Hamilton. Trump is now also scheduled to hold a campaign rally in Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday, to support Senate candidate Ashley Hinson.

In true Trump style, the president attempted to downplay the need for an in-person appearance when questioned about the cancellation Thursday.

"I don't feel like I have to go to Kansas," Trump told reporters. "He is doing very well. We are going to have a strong Tuesday night," he added.

An unnamed source told the Associated Press that Trump had rescheduled the Kansas and Iowa rallies to make time for additional campaign events by phone.

The cancellation had coincided with worrying new polling for Marshall. A CNN survey released Thursday showed Hamilton leading the Republican incumbent 49% to 45%, although the four-point advantage fell within the poll's margin of error.

As we reported last week, Republicans are facing the daunting possibility of losing a Kansas Senate seat that Democrats have not won since 1932.

Fox News' latest Power Rankings rate control of the Senate a toss-up, with Democrats favored in 48 seats, Republicans in 46, and six races still up for grabs.

The last-minute changes come as Republicans face competitive Senate contests in several states, including Kansas, where the GOP has held the seat for decades.

Trump is also scheduled to campaign in Florida on Friday as both parties make their final push before voters head to the polls November 3.

Trump was scheduled to appear on Saturday at the Salina Regional Airport to boost Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS), who is now facing a surprisingly tough reelection fight against Democrat Adam Hamilton.

However, the Kansas Republican Party confirmed Thursday that the rally was off, with the White House announcing that Trump would instead hold virtual campaign events, The Hill reports.

"President Trump will continue connecting directly with Americans nationwide through more than 20 telerallies before Election Day," a White House official told the news outlet. "These events give him the opportunity to highlight his accomplishments and expand his reach across the country."

And it's not about his health:

Marshall also blamed negative media coverage of President Donald Trump for shaping perceptions of the economy.

"The national media, the legacy media has just beat the heck out of President Trump now for, what, 10 years, and despite what's really a pretty strong economy here in Kansas, the legacy media is just telling you the sky is falling," the senator said.

A Robinson R22 and Airbus H125 crashed near McMinnville Municipal Airport

Three people were killed when two helicopters collided midair near an Oregon airport Thursday afternoon, crashing in a field and prompting authorities to close a nearby highway.

A Robinson R22 helicopter and an Airbus H125 helicopter collided near McMinnville Municipal Airport around 2:15 p.m. local time, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed in a statement to Fox News Digital.

The Yamhill County Sheriff's Office confirmed Thursday that all three people aboard both helicopters died in the crash.

The two victims aboard the Robinson R22 helicopter were identified as 22-year-old flight instructor Maddie Aasbo, of Texas, and a student pilot from the United Kingdom, according to the sheriff's office. The student's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The sole occupant of the Airbus helicopter was identified as Tyler Delane Sturdevant, 38, of Newberg, Oregon.

SpaceX Starlink Mission

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 is targeting the launch of 27 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

A live webcast of this mission will begin about 10 minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch here and on X @SpaceX.

This will be the 18th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched SDA-T1TL-B, SDA-T1TL-C, Transporter-16, and 14 Starlink missions.

Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which will be stationed in the Pacific Ocean.

There is the possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may hear one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experience will depend on weather and other conditions.

Ukraine would be unlikely to defy Washington without continued European support, presidential aide Yury Ushakov has said

Ukraine, emboldened by continued European support, is ignoring US President Donald Trump’s calls to halt strikes on Russian oil refineries, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov has said.

Three Russian oil refineries and a gas chemical complex were targeted in overnight attacks on Friday, according to Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak.

Commenting on the latest attacks, Ushakov told journalist Pavel Zarubin that Kiev had once again defied Trump. “I would even say they are simply ignoring him,” he added.

According to Novak, one of the targeted facilities sustained minor damage, but Russian air defenses largely repelled the attacks.

Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said on Friday that two people involved in dealing with the aftermath of the drone strikes had been killed, while several others were injured.

Trump has repeatedly demanded that Kiev stop targeting Russian oil refineries, accusing it of worsening the global fuel crisis and driving up prices for American consumers and farmers – a sensitive issue ahead of the November 3 US midterms.

Vladimir Zelensky rejected the criticism, calling Trump’s claims “totally false.”

Ushakov suggested that Kiev was emboldened by continued European support. “They would hardly have dared to do this on their own,” he said.

“Trump has been persistent on this issue and continues to be, but they are not listening,” Ushakov said. The aide noted that trilateral talks are being planned under US mediation, which he described as crucial to resolving the conflict.

Moscow agreed in principle to a fourth round of trilateral talks with the US and Ukraine following last week’s meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US special envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg.

The negotiations could take place in Abu Dhabi in November, with European countries not invited, according to the Kremlin.

Ukraine’s European backers have been excluded from all three rounds of trilateral negotiations so far and have increasingly sought direct participation in the peace process. Moscow has accused the EU of acting as the principal side arming Ukraine and prolonging the conflict.

Novak said on Friday that the Russian government was preparing to extend its diesel export ban until the end of January 2027, while maintaining exemptions for certain shipments to international markets.

Tankers carrying Russian diesel have been dispatched to the US under an agreement reached between Putin and Trump following their October 9 phone call. Washington temporarily waived sanctions on Russian fuel imports to facilitate the deliveries.

Saudi Arabia's military coalition on Friday said it intercepted and destroyed a drone launched by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels in the region surrounding Mecca, Islam's holiest city.

The Houthis, however, denied carrying out any operation targeting the area, saying their military actions were directed at Saudi oil facilities and military bases.

Coalition spokesperson Major General Turki al-Malki announced the interception, identifying the drone as one launched by the Houthi group.

The statement did not provide further details about the drone's intended target or whether any damage was reported following the interception.

The incident comes amid escalating cross-border hostilities between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, with both sides reporting military operations and attacks in recent days.

Houthis deny targeting Mecca

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree rejected the Saudi-led coalition's claim, saying the group had not conducted any operation targeting Saudi Arabia on Friday.

In a statement, Saree said the group's military operations were aimed at Saudi oil facilities and military bases.

The Houthis have repeatedly denied targeting Mecca and Medina, Islam's two holiest cities, following previous Saudi accusations that they had launched drones towards the regions.

Mecca is home to the Grand Mosque and attracts millions of Muslim pilgrims every year, particularly during the annual Hajj pilgrimage and throughout the year for Umrah.

A new UFO interactive map shows an astonishing 164 reports of wedge shaped objects looking like black triangles which have been seen over the UK

Dozens of "black triangles" have been spotted in the sky by Brits with an interactive map showing all the reports of UFOs in your area.

Nearly 2,000 Unidentified Flying Objects have been documented and logged in the UK over the last five years by research group UFO Identified.

The Pentagon recently published its latest release of declassified files on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP – the American term for UFO), following an executive order signed by Donald Trump.

Among the documents is an account from two federal agents stationed at a US “sensitive national security site” in June 2026.

According to the report, a matte-black triangular object with an estimated 15-foot wingspan hovered silently roughly 300 feet in the air for 20 seconds before descending into a canyon at high speed without leaving an exhaust trail.

While orbs, spheres and “star-like” sightings make up the bulk of British sightings, researchers have logged 164 reports of similar wedge-shaped objects – meaning roughly one in every 12 sightings involves a distinctive triangle.

Witnesses across the UK have reported seeing dark, matte triangles gliding soundlessly at low altitude over housing estates, farmland, and coastal areas before darting away at incredible speeds, just like the sighting made by federal agents in the USA.

The most recent was on July 22 of this year, when a “large black triangle” featuring a red light on each point was witnessed hovering over Stretford in Greater Manchester for over 30 minutes.

Earlier this year, a “perfect triangle” was seen speeding across the sky above Chesterfield in Derbyshire, a “black V-shaped boomerang” was spotted over the Fylde coast in Lancashire, and a soundless black wedge above Exmouth in Devon.

Things That Go Beep in the Night: Agentic AI Joins the Search for Extraterrestrial Signals

Scientists at the Allen Telescope Array have integrated the NVIDIA Holoscan platform to search for signals that may come from aliens — or the AI they built.

While science fiction lore tells us that humans will meet extraterrestrial life in the form of little green men, the detail that should raise hairs this Halloween is this:

the search for extraterrestrial intelligence took a major leap forward with AI, and it increasingly focuses on AI agents built by humans listening for AI agents built by aliens.

Some scientists have suggested that extraterrestrial civilizations, if they exist, could be billions of years older than humanity. Such civilizations might have developed technologies far beyond humanity’s, including forms of AI.

Breakthrough Listen and the SETI Institute are bringing agentic AI into the daily search for extraterrestrial intelligence. At the Allen Telescope Array in Northern California, agents can now steer the instrument, enhance and correct incoming data, and apply AI models to the incoming stream — all from a single natural language request. The NVIDIA Holoscan platform processes the massive streams of sensor data, giving agents live data to act on.

The result is a faster, more adaptable search for potential signals from extraterrestrial life and technologies.

“As our new agentic observatories reach out into the universe, what they find may have much more in common with themselves than with the humans who created them,” said Andrew Siemion, Bernard M. Oliver chair for SETI at the SETI Institute and principal investigator of Breakthrough Listen. “But this isn’t something to fear. Rather, it’s a breakthrough in translation.”

Terabits a Second, Processed in Flight

Radio telescopes generate enormous volumes of data, creating a challenge for scientists who need to identify potentially interesting signals as observations unfold.

At the Allen Telescope Array, DAQIRI, a Holoscan platform library, enables the telescope to pull terabits per second of sensor data straight into GPU memory so observations are processed in flight rather than filling hard drives.

CyberEther, a signal-processing framework developed at the SETI Institute, does the math using NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries including cuFFT and cuBLAS.

Nexus, a web-based observatory orchestrator, acts as the agent harness.

It gives agents a single source of truth for instrument state, compute resources and pipelines and lets researchers monitor packet loss, read live spectrograms and rewrite signal-processing blocks — all by prompting in natural language.

The system can handle 2.4 terabits per second on NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, with inference running on premises, next to the instrument.

Put together, the system enables an agent to steer a telescope’s antennae, calibrate and focus the instrument for a clean signal, catch and fix data errors and plot the result. Agents compress what would take humans weeks or years into hours.

Science Fact, Not Fiction

The pipeline has already proven itself, achieving the first real-time AI detection of a pulsar — a rapidly spinning stellar remnant that pulses like a cosmic lighthouse — in the Crab Nebula.

Next, the team is evaluating open models including NVIDIA Nemotron for cases where data locality and turnaround matter most and for observatories that may someday run offline on the far side of the moon.

Win: Turn out enough voters to secure victories in multiple races by margins too large to dispute.

Prove: Independently validate results using the proposed counting infrastructure. Cooke cites Venezuela, Hungary and Serbia as precedents.

Enforce: Mobilize protests and nationwide noncooperation to defend those results, arguing that legal action alone will not suffice.

The proposed count would supply evidence for the mobilization that follows. Cooke makes the connection explicit:

“Gathering evidence matters only if it creates mass mobilization and mass outrage.”

The strategist with a USAID résumé

Cooke attributes his framework to Hardy Merriman, whose career spans international civil-resistance training, democracy-promotion organizations and a USAID initiative.

Merriman’s official biography says he served as a senior technical adviser to USAID’s Powered by the People program from 2023 to 2025. He also led the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict and served as a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council.

The program announcement describes a five-year, $45 million USAID award to a consortium led by PartnersGlobal. Its members included the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict and CANVAS, the Centre for Applied Nonviolent Action and Strategies. The initiative was designed to support activists and social movements internationally.

Merriman’s work with CANVAS predates that award. His publication list credits him as a coauthor of its 2007 civil-resistance curriculum, published in Belgrade, alongside Srdja Popovic, Slobodan Djinovic, Andrej Milivojevic and Ivan Marovic.

His later work also addresses financing these movements. A 2023 Atlantic Council report he coauthored recommends expanded government support for civil resistance, multiyear activist funding and international strike funds.

A separate Freedom Trainers handout lays out the timing: count-support activities beginning November 4, followed by economic noncooperation if results are not honored. It describes that escalation as a last resort and cites Ukraine, Serbia and Brazil.

Who would run the count?

Independent verification can check official results. A Westminster Foundation for Democracy technical guide explains that conventional parallel vote tabulation uses a representative sample of polling stations to project results. It cannot directly overturn official returns or reliably determine a winner when the margin falls within its statistical uncertainty.

The guide also identifies partisan presentation, incomplete data and premature publication as risks.

Those distinctions leave concrete questions for Seed the Vote: who would collect and verify its data, which races would be covered, and would findings confirming Republican victories be published?

Jerid Kurtz has been named as the Democrat operative who is accused of recruiting a man named Dan Sullivan to run in the Alaska Senate race against the incumbent with the same name to help Mary Peltola

Kurtz previously served as the communications director for the Ohio Democratic Party, working to re-elect President Barack Obama and Senator Sherrod Brown, according to his alumni profile.

His LegiStorm resume noted that he worked as a campaign manager on Raphael Warnock's 2020 Senate run. Kurtz also managed campaigns for David Trone and Anthony Brown.

A new development has unfolded in the ongoing saga involving Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), her shady family, and the federal investigation that could result in her imprisonment or deportation.

As TGP readers know, Omar has long been dogged by allegations that she married her second husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, as part of a scheme to get him U.S. citizenship. Many sources have alleged that Elmi is Omar’s brother.

This has now become part of the sprawling federal investigation into Omar’s immigration fraud actions.

Omar previously said, “Not to my knowledge,” when asked whether she was related to her former husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.

Now, news has emerged regarding Elmi that,at a minimum, further proves that his marriage to Omar was a complete sham.

Elmi, who is a doctoral researcher at the University of Bristol,revealed that he was gay in an August 2026 academic paper that was uncoveredby the New York Post on Thursday.

“As a gay man of the East African diaspora, my fieldwork was never neutral,” Elmi wrote in an August 2026 paper titled,“Out in the Field: Notes on Researching Queer Violence in Kenya.”

“It was a space shaped by tension, risk, intimacy, and vulnerability,” he added.

“While navigating the challenges of ethnographic research, I immersed myself in the lived experiences of the people I spoke with, while also negotiating my own safety and the complexities of my identity.”

As previously revealed,Elmi’s areas of study are some of the most woke fields imaginable, including: “critically queer,” “decolonization,” “gender research group,” and “center for black humanities.”

TGP’s reported last week that Elmi was likely gay. A TGP source in the Somaliland and Somali community sent information back in 2019 alleging thathis sexuality was an open secret among Somali people in the diaspora.

Moreover, Elmi’s Instagram is filled with pictures of him in fashionable clothing and surrounded by men in high-end cafes. In his profile, he refers to himself as “a dirty dandy.”

He also appears to be interested in traveling. In one post, he wrote, “So far, so fab…a month in JoBurg.”

Homosexuality is illegal in Somalia. In some areas that Islamist terrorists control, the penalty for same-sex activities is often death.

Assuming this is true, there is a good chance Omar knew as well. This also could make the federal case against her even more powerful.

DOJ subpoenas California election officials as part of ballooning voter fraud probes

The Department of Justice has subpoenaed local election officials in at least four California counties, the latest development in its unprecedented effort to usurp the state's authority and prove allegations of widespread voter fraud in the runup to the midterm election.

The Chronicle obtainedsubpoenas sent to election officials in Los Angeles and Orange counties seeking possible instances of noncitizen voting and unredacted information about certain voters, including their registration, address, voting history and citizenship status. Santa Clara County confirmed it had also received subpoenas and inewsource reported that San Diego County officials received them as well. The subpoenas were sent as part of criminal investigations into alleged fraudulent voting by noncitizens. One of the subpoenas was received as recently as Oct. 29. Others were sent in September.

The subpoenas reviewed by the Chronicle were sent before a federal judge in a separate case gave a stern warning to First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, who has spearheaded the agency's attempts to force California to surrender its authority to administer its own elections, to stop threatening local election officials.

At a hearing on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge David O. Carter told Essayli:"This court believes it would be wise that any threats to state and county elected employees cease immediately."He repeated the message in a ruling Wednesday denying Essayli's attempt to force California to sequester 20,000 ballots the DOJ has said could have been sent to noncitizens. "The court reiterates what it said yesterday: these threats must stop," Carter wrote.

The subpoenas do not mean that the election officials who received them are themselves under investigation. But the DOJ has separately threatened many of the same officials by giving them 48 hours to review lists of alleged noncitizen voters, and threatening them with criminal prosecution if they do not comply.

Los Angeles County Registrar Dean Logan said Carter's warning was timely, and important.His office was at the center of the Trump administration's unsuccessful effort to sequester 20,000 ballots.

"Judge Carter's admonishment about threats directed at election officials on Tuesday was well placed and appreciated," he said in a statement. "At every step, the U.S. Department of Justice has taken a confrontational, adversarial approach. Election officials are acting in accordance with state and federal law. Clear court rulings at both the U.S. District Court level and the Court of Appeals have confirmed that. Threats and intimidation have no place in elections. We will take whatever steps necessary to ensure the safety of our employees and to remain focused on serving the voters of Los Angeles County so they can exercise their voting franchise."

His office received three federal grand jury subpoenas last week from Essayli and agents with Homeland Security Investigations, the unit the Trump administration has tasked with leading criminal investigations into suspected voter fraud. The subpoenas ask individual election officials to turn over any information that "tends to indicate an alien has voted in a federal election" and that indicates "someone has aided and/or abetted an alien voting in a federal election."

The subpoenas also cast a wide net for any communications regarding the back-and-forth between the Justice Department and California secretary of state's officeabout the administration's downgraded claims of fraud in the state. After initially claiming more than 190,000 noncitizens were potentially registered in California, the federal government went silent for three months before claiming that 20,000 were improperly registered. Federal prosecutors then charged only 28 California residents with citizen-related voter fraud, five of whom are not accused of voting.

The subpoenas also seek the registrar's office's methods for preventing voting by noncitizens.

Trump admin closes Biden-era disability law loophole used to let males inmates in women's prisons

he Department of Health and Human Services on Friday published a final rule that clarified that gender dysphoria not resulting from physical impairments does not qualify as a disability under federal law.

The rule clarified and closed a loophole in the preamble of a 2024 rule, which suggested that gender dysphoria could qualify as a disability, although the rule itself was silent on the issue.

For years "the federal government advanced an interpretation of disability law that has been used to elevate gender identity claims over the concerns of incarcerated women, permitting dangerous men into women’s prisons," the Independent Women's Forum said, applauding the rule change.

"The action addresses a legal controversy with significant implications for sex-seperated facilities, including women’s prisons, where disability discrimination claims have been raised by transgender-identifying male inmates to access women’s facilities," it said.

The HHS Office for Civil Rights said the final rule is in relation to disabilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and applies to all programs and activities that receive HHS funding. Section 504 prohibits programs and activities that receive federal funding from discriminating against individuals based on their disability.

“My uncle Ted Kennedy was the primary author of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 1978 amendments that strengthened the Rehabilitation Act," HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., said in a statement. "The Biden-era pronouncements that indicated gender dysphoria may be a disability served the commercial interests of a predatory, multi-billion-dollar industry and betrayed the original intention of those laws.

“Congress defined which conditions qualify for protection as disabilities under federal law, and HHS has a duty to faithfully apply the law as written," he continued. "This final rule restores clarity to our regulations, respects the distinctions Congress established, and ensures that HHS administers Section 504 according to its statutory text.

"The Trump Administration will continue to bring transparency, accountability, and fidelity to the law back to federal policymaking," he added.

The rule was first proposed by the Trump administration last year and clarified that the preamble to a federal rule has no force or effect of law and that the regulation itself did not address gender dysphoria.

Right now, several key states are seeing record turnout in early voting.

On Friday, Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee, said she is appointing a special master to investigate whether the Justice Department and DOJ lawyers lied to her in the DC golf course case.

Uruguayan-born judge Reyes on Monday issued a preliminary injunction over the Trump Administration’s effort to renovate the East Potomac Golf Course.

Judge Reyes blasted the Trump Administration and ordered the government to halt its project.

“Rarely, if ever, has the United States Department of Justice urged a federal court not to believe the sitting President. Not to believe him that a cabinet secretary has “developed” a federal land project. Not to believe him that the secretary’s agency will destroy a historic golf course already on the land. Not to believe him that “Restoration work” will begin “IMMEDIATELY!” Not to believe him that the course “will be closed” for over a year. Not to believe what the President has repeatedly told the American public,” Judge Reyes wrote in a scathing 70-page opinion.

“And yet, here we are,” Judge Ana Reyes wrote.

Judge Reyes repeatedly attacked President Trump for posting about the golf course on his Truth Social page this month, while his Justice Department was in court, claiming that the renovations were set to begin in November.

The Trump Administration removed more than 400 trees from the East Potomac Golf Course earlier this month, and Judge Reyes flipped out.

After Monday’s hearing, Judge Reyes said she will hold a separate hearing on Friday to question DOJ lawyers over conflicting accounts about the renovations.

On Friday, Judge Reyes said she will appoint a special master to investigate DOJ officials after sparring with DOJ official Stanley Woodward.

“The court will open a formal inquiry into whether agency officials and employees, including agency attorneys and DOJ attorneys, have made misrepresentations to the court and otherwise violated ethical rules,” judge Reyes said during Friday’s hearing.

After lambasting Woodward, Judge Reyes said that if the DOJ objects to her special master, she will conduct the investigation herself.

Judge Ana Reyes has a history of abusing DOJ lawyers.Last year, the DOJ filed a misconduct complaint against her after she asked a DOJ official about his Christian beliefs.
